It was an emotional day on July 5 when a humanitarian plane from Warsaw, Poland, landed in Regina welcoming 230 Ukrainian citizens to their new home. 

The following day airport personnel and provincial public service volunteers were on deck to load pallets of food, sleeping bags, water purification tablets and firefighter equipment onto the plane before returning to Poland to deliver them to the Ukrainian embassy; for distribution.
